Happy Mother's Day!

Mother's Day 2014 was just a few days ago.  I hope the moms out there had a great day -  special treats, extra hugs and kisses, a little extra sleep!?  Personally, I had a wonderful day with my boys, and a delicious opening of our grill for the season.

Here are a few signs to practice: I-LOVE-YOU MOMMY!

It's a good phrase to hear and see any day of the year.

I LOVE YOU

MOMMY

What special way do you celebrate being a mommy?

Detective Eyes Part 4

Here's a little practice at recognizing early signs with a different face!  The little guy in this picture is Mr. J., and he was a student in my very first class!  Many thanks to his mom for sharing this picture and giving me permission to share it with you! (Have a picture of your child signing that you'd like see on the Signing With Miss Steph blog?  Please contact me at StephanieBowlin@SigningSmart.com.)

In this picture, 14 month-old Mr. J. is sitting with Grandma enjoying his favorite snack.

Can you see what he's signing?

What is your little one's favorite snack right now?

Welcome!!

I had the pleasure of starting another great family on their Signing Smart journey this past weekend with the Beginner Workshop. After a few technical challenges were sorted out, we were able to have a productive afternoon learning the Signing Smart strategies and lots of useful signs.

This family of 3 is now well on their way to early communication - congratulations, and welcome to the family!

What exciting things have you learned along your way on this journey to early communication and long term learning that you wish you knew early on?
